The La Esperanza Youth Foundation exists to remove financial barriers that prevent children and families from fully participating in La Esperanza Soccer Club — raising charitable funds and directing them toward approved player assistance so families facing genuine need can keep their children connected to the club, their teammates, coaches, and the positive structure of youth soccer.
The Foundation is not meant to replace club dues or make participation free for everyone. Its purpose is to create a fair, confidential safety net for families who want to remain committed to the club but cannot reasonably meet all participation costs at a certain point in time.

KEEPING PLAYERS IN THE GAME
To expand access to youth soccer by providing financial assistance and community support to La Esperanza families facing economic hardship — helping every child continue to play, grow, and belong.
Club Fees
Partial or full approved registration and season fees.
Keeps a player registered when a family cannot cover the full amount.
Uniforms & Gear
Required uniforms, basic equipment, or replacement essentials.
Prevents equipment costs from becoming a barrier to participation.
Tournament & Program Costs
Approved event, camp, clinic, or program fees.
Allows eligible players to access development opportunities.
Emergency Assistance
Short-term support after job loss, family emergency, or sudden hardship.
Creates temporary relief while a family stabilizes.

The Foundation currently serves current, qualifying La Esperanza Soccer Club families. Financial assistance is based on demonstrated need, available funds, and continued participation in good standing. As the Foundation grows, our goal is to open this program to all qualifying families in our community.

Assistance is currently available only to current, qualifying La Esperanza families. Check each statement that applies. If all five apply, you can start a confidential request and track its review online.

Assistance applications will open in around mid-December 2026. You can review the requirements now and start a request once applications open.

Eligibility Principles
A FAIR, CONFIDENTIAL SAFETY NET
Every request is evaluated with the same written criteria. Financial information is treated as confidential and reviewed only by the individuals responsible for administering the program.
Assistance is currently limited to current, qualifying La Esperanza Soccer Club families. As foundation funding grows, our goal is to expand the program so that any qualifying family in our community can apply. The program may prioritize families who have completed at least one season with the club, while still allowing exceptions for extraordinary hardship — rewarding commitment without closing the door on a family in a serious situation.
- The player is currently participating in La Esperanza Soccer Club or has been accepted into a club program.
- The family demonstrates a financial need that materially affects the player’s ability to continue participating.
- The family completes a short confidential assistance application and provides reasonable supporting information when requested.
- Assistance is awarded for a defined period and may require renewal rather than becoming automatically permanent.
- The player and family remain in good standing with attendance, conduct, communication, and club commitments.
- Awards are subject to available foundation funds and are never guaranteed.

A small review group evaluates the request using the same written criteria for every applicant.

The family receives an approval, partial approval, waitlist, or denial with the award period stated.

Whenever practical, assistance is paid directly toward approved club costs rather than distributed as unrestricted cash.
