CLUB DEPORTIVO LA ESPERANZA — NCAA & COLLEGE ELIGIBILITY GUIDE STEP 1 — REGISTER (10th grade) Create an account at eligibilitycenter.org. Certification account for NCAA Division I/II; Profile page for Division III and NAIA exploration. STEP 2 — CORE COURSES (16 required) 4 years English · 3 years Math (Algebra I or higher) · 2 years natural or physical science (1 with a lab) · 1 extra year of English, math, or science · 2 years social science · 4 years additional core courses. Ask your counselor for your school's NCAA-approved course list. STEP 3 — GPA Division I: 2.3 core-course GPA minimum. Division II: 2.2 core-course GPA minimum. NAIA and junior colleges have their own, often more flexible, standards — the club can walk families through those options. STEP 4 — TRANSCRIPTS Request an official transcript be sent to the Eligibility Center after your junior year, and a final transcript after graduation. STEP 5 — RECRUITING FILE - 3-5 minute highlight video, most recent footage first - Player profile: position, birth year, height, club, coach contact - Season schedule so coaches know where to watch you play - Short, personal emails to coaches — never mass mailings STEP 6 — AMATEURISM Do not accept prize money, pay, or benefits tied to athletic performance.
